KATHY - Owner / Hair Stylist
Some days I am the boss that shouts my commands. Some days one of the girls. Some days I am your shoulder when no one understands. Some days I am a chemist. Some days entrepreneur. Some days just the janitor sweeping up the floor. Some days my job is sales. Some days I hold consults. Sometimes I work for many months to get your style results. Some days I’m an accountant. Some days I’m going crazy keeping stock in control. I’ve worn so many hats each day throughout my life. Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Hockey Mom and Wife; and as an owner of this place, what a satisfying gig. Helping my customers, whether extensions or wigs.
Let’s make heads TURN!

DAWN - Hair Stylist
Hello I’m Dawn. What can I say? I must not like change. I have been working in this building since I was in 11th grade. Attended Baldwin and Steel Center Votech for cosmetology. I started working at Cut of Joy as an assistant back in 2001. When they decided to sell the business, at the time, my son Nick was 4 years old and I knew I wanted to be involved in his small Catholic School. I was in the PTA, Fish Frys and I was also the Homeroom Mom and did lunch duty. Those were all great memories. My son is now 24 and I just recently started my own business running Estate Sales. I want to thank my clients for being a part of my life. Some have been with me along this journey for 30+ years. I love meeting new people and providing a helpful service. My clients are an extension of my family. I also love my four dogs and have been married for 28 years to my high school sweetheart.
Come on in and join our family!

MISSY - Hair Stylist
Hello I’m Missy. I have two beautiful twin girls, the first and last I always say. They are the best thing that has ever happened to my wonderful husband and I since getting married in 1997. I also enjoy volunteering at our church, Blessed Trinity. I help the younger ones form their faith through Faith Formation every week, during the school year and bible school over the summer. I went to South Vo-Tech High School and graduated with my Cosmetology license in 1987. I then attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in town for my Associates Degree. I tried it all which made me realize I work best with hair styling and love to create special styles on men, women and children. My husband and I worked great together at his salon, Michael’s Hair Creations in the Southside, but now it’s time to divide and conquer in our beautiful life together. I have many years of experience in this field and cherish all of the cliental that have became family and friends to me. I would enjoy working with you.

CARLY - Hair Stylist
Hello I’m Carly. I’d have to say my favorite part of my job is getting to express my talent for art through doing hair. I love to make people feel good about themselves. I’m a firm believer in if your hair looks good it puts pep in your step. I started my hair journey in 1996 at this very salon. I was a shampoo girl for “Cut of Joy.” It must have sparked something in me, so after high school I hung up my ballet shoes and picked up my shears and headed to Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1999. I’m now a licensed Cosmetologist who has been servicing the South Hills area for 25 years. I also have a 5 year old little girl at home who keeps me on my toes. Coming to work is my creative outlet that helps me still be me. I love every part of being a stylist and a good challenge is always welcome in my chair. I like to have a fu and comfortable work environment. So if you like good conversation and fantastic hair, I’m your girl!
Let’s put some pep in your step!
